Sweet In-Home Family Session With Newborn Baby Brother

I love how weddings bring people together. I’ve known Sheila and Tom since 2015 when our mutual friends Johnny and Mishka got married in Asbury Park. A couple of years later, Dom and I moved to AP and we’d constantly run into Sheila and Tom around town. I was thrilled when they first reached out to ask me to photograph them when Sheila was pregnant with their first child, Ruby, and equally as excited when they reached out again to photograph their newest family member, Axl.

Photographing families in their homes just hits different. I love how skeptical Ruby was of me at first, then how she warmed up quickly and wanted to see “photos of Ruby.” I loved watching her interact with her baby brother, and how their dog Skip was always nearby. All of this is very simple, but so beautiful. A family settling into their new routine as a family of four and being together in the space they call home.
