Cozy, Winter Engagement Shoot In Hoboken
The night Alex proposed, he and Kim were walking to dinner at Anthony David's in Hoboken and a rock got in his shoe. He told Kim to wait, and as he knelt down to get the rock out of his shoe, Kim was sure he was going to propose. Alex joked how he knelt right next to a dumpster and it wouldn't have been very romantic, so of course, he didn't propose...yet.
Throughout dinner Kim beat herself up for thinking he was going to pop the question and pushed the thought out of her mind so she could enjoy the night. But little did she know, Alex had a plan. After dinner they walked over to Sinatra Park with the NYC skyline shining in the background (much more picturesque than the dumpster), and to Kim's surprise, Alex got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife.
For their engagement photos, Kim and Alex wanted to incorporate some of their favorite spots in Hoboken. We started off at Ultramarinos, a cute little cafe where they go every Saturday for brunch. By the time we started taking photos, we had the whole place to ourselves, so it was a perfect, cozy spot for them to escape the outside chill and warm up while they sipped on their café con leche. Once Kim and Alex finished two rounds of coffee, we made our way over to the waterfront. At first we were a little bummed that the sky was overcast, but at the very end the skies opened, the most beautiful sun came out and a traveling choir group appeared, so basically angels sang.
