Asbury Park on 35MM Film
Last weekend Dom took me on a day trip and drove us down to Asbury Park. I didn't know what to expect and I was absolutely blown away. The old carousel house, the casino, the boardwalk, the beach, the Paramount theater, Shepard Fairey murals; Asbury Park just has a really cool vibe. The day we went was pretty chilly out. There was so much fog coming off of the water, even though you can't really tell from the photos, it was kind of eerie. I can't wait to go back when it's warmer to take more photos and of course, soak up some sun on the beach.
I was so mad at myself for leaving my digital camera at home, but now I'm glad I did. I've always loved playing around with different film and film cameras. All of these were taken with my Bentley BX-3 35mm camera, newly gifted to my by my friend John (thanks!). This was the first roll of film I've used in this camera and I'm in love with the results. It's definitely my new favorite. If I didn't know any better, I would've thought these photos were taken decades ago.
